I was in Boise earlier this week, so I got to watch TV while I worked in the evening. These quotes from a show about the legendary basketball coach John Wooden caught my attention.
"He never told us the answers. He just told us how to get there." Bill Walton, speaking of coach Wooden.
"The worst thing you can do for the ones you love, are the things they can and should do for themselves." -- J. Wooden
Coaching also made me think of these steps to training (they are stuck in my mind this week...but I can't remember where I heard them). It sounds easy enough.....
On training:
1) Have them watch you do it.
2) Do it together.
3) Watch while they do it.
